Memorial Day

American Legion Post 55 along with the VFW, and the Marine Corps League will be participating in our annual Memorial Day Ceremony, hosted by Post 233. The ceremony will start at 10:00 am at the Elk Grove Historical Cemetary at 8540 Elk Grove Blvd. In addition to the traditional Tribute to the Fallen American Military ceremony we will have a special salute to Bryan E. Hall, a local hero who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country in the Gulf War.

Following the ceremony, we will join together to walk to Elk Grove Regional Park where Post 233 will provide a BBQ for the participants.

Parking is very limited at the cemetary, so it will be available only to people with disability placards. CSD will provide a shuttle service from the park to the cemetary, so please plan on parking at Elk Grove Historical Society parking lot at Elk Grove Regional Park (9941 East Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove) and taking the shuttle to the cemetary. Plan on being at the Historical Society parking lot by around 8:00am so that there is time to shuttle everyone to the cemetary.
